Mobilize 200,000 to millions of dollars a year for biodiversity from all sources, including 30,000 million dollars from the international financing
Increase substantially and progressively the level of financial resources from all sources, so effective, timely, and easily accessible, including the resources of national, international, public and private, in accordance with article 20 of the Convention, to implement the strategies and national action plans on biodiversity, for the 2030 mobilizing at least 200,000 million dollars from the united States per year, among other things: a) Increasing the financial resources, international total biodiversity-related coming from the developed countries, including official development assistance, and the countries that voluntarily assume obligations of the Parties that are developed countries, for developing countries, in particular least developed countries and small island developing States, as well as countries with economies in transition, to at least 20,000 million united States dollars per year to 2025, and at least 30,000 million dollars of the united States by 2030; (b) significantly Increase the mobilization of domestic resources, facilitated by the preparation and implementation of national plans of financing for biodiversity or similar instruments according to the needs, priorities and national circumstances; (c) to Leverage private funding, to promote the combined financing, implement strategies to raise new and additional resources, and encourage the private sector to invest in biodiversity, including by funding from impact and other instruments; (d) to Stimulate innovative schemes such as payment for ecosystem services, green bonds, offsets, and credits of biodiversity, benefit sharing mechanisms, with environmental and social safeguards; (e) to Optimize co-benefits and synergies of the funding directed to the biodiversity crisis and climate; (f) to Enhance the role of collective actions, including indigenous peoples and local communities, the actions focused on the Mother Earth[1] and the approaches are not based on the market, including the community-based management of natural resources and the cooperation and solidarity of civil society for the conservation of biodiversity; (g) to Improve the effectiveness, efficiency and transparency of the supply and use of resources. *** [1] Actions focused on the Mother Earth: Approach to eco-centric and based on the rights that allows the implementation of actions towards harmonious relationships and complementary between the peoples and nature, promoting the continuity of all
living beings and their communities, and ensuring the non-commodification of the environmental functions of the Mother Earth.
